Blog post #6:What happened to the remaining people?

     At the end of the book, most of the main characters die except for three other main characters. Those three main characters that are left are, Friar Lawrence, Nurse, and Lord Capulet. Here are some of my opinions on what happened to them, or where they went at the end of the book.


     At the end of the book, I think Nurse could have gone many places and done many things. But there is one thing  that she probably would of done. I think that she would stay working for the capulets, but just as a maid or person that organizes things for the Capulets. I think that she would organize thinks for them because Mr. and Mrs. Capulet are not good at organizing things like marriages, parties, etc. Nurse could also be a really close friend with the capulets and live with them. That is what I think would of happened to Nurse at the end of the book.


     Also another main character that is left behind at the end of the book is Friar Lawrence. I think that Friar Lawrence would be sent to jail for a couple years for secretly wedding Romeo and Juliet and for also being an accomplice with their plan for them to hide Manchua. Also he would be sent to jail because in the big picture, he sort of led to the death of Romeo and Juliet. When he gets out of jail, he will quit being a friar and become a worker for the Monotagues in memory of his close friend Romeo. 


     One last main characters from Romeo and Juliet is Lord Capulet. At the end of the book I think he would be the leader in ending the feud between the two families. After he does that, I believe that he would work as an assistant to Prince Escealus to maintain order in Verona and to stop any other feuding that goes on that may lead to death.
    
     That is what I think would of happened to Nurse, Lord Capulet, and Friar Lawrence at the end of the book.

Here is some vocabulary from Romeo and Juliet:

Apprehend: To grasp the meaning of; to understand; to perceive. Ex. Capulet and Montague apprehended that their children were dead.

Canopy: A covering, usually made of fabric, supported on poles or suspended above a bed, throne, or sacred object. Ex. Juliet's bed had a canopy hanging above it.

Contempt: The feeling which a person regards anything considered mean or vile.Ex. Romeo felt contempt when he killed Paris.

Disperse: To drive or send off in various directions; scatter. Ex. Tybalt and his friends dispersed after he killed Mercutio.


Inexorable: Unyielding; unalterable. Ex. Romeo and Juliet's love was inexorable throughout the book.


Inter: To place a dead body in a grave or tomb. Ex. Romeo interred Paris's body next to Juliet in the grave.


Penury: Extreme poverty; destitution. Ex. Nobody in Romeo and Juliet was penury.


Remnants: A remaining, usually small part. Ex. There are very little remnants of Romeo and Juliet's love.


Righteous: Characterized by uprightness or morality. Ex. Romeo had high righteousness throughout the book.

Blog post 5: Juliet's Hard Decision

     I think Juliet and Friar Lawrence carried out this dangerous plan for many reasons. If she told her parents that she was married to Romeo she would be punished severely. I think she would be beaten by her dad or stuck in her room for the rest of her life. So she will take the poison. "Hide me with a dead man in his shroud, - Things that to hear them told, have made me tremble; And I will do it without fear or doubt, To live an unstain'd wife to my sweet love." (Shakespeare 254). That proves that Juliet will take the poison.

     Also if Juliet told her parents that she was married to Romeo, her parents would be mad at her for two main reasons. One, Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet and they are forbidden to get married because of their families feud. Two, Juliet is getting married to Paris in a couple days and if her parents found out that she was already married they would be extremely mad. That is why Juliet and Friar Lawrence would carry out this dangerous plan rather than just telling Juliet's parents.

Juliet's diary

     Dear diary,
Right now you are my closest friend. Now that Romeo, my loved husband is banished I have lost all my hope in life and I don't know what the world is coming to. Romeo is not the real killer right now I think it is my own cousin Tybalt. He had killed Romeo's closest friend Mercuto. I am completely clueless at why Tybalt would kill Mercutio. He is in my own blood and he was my own cousin. Why would he do such a thing. At this moment, we should not be crying for Tybalt we should be crying for Romeo.

     Why was he banished? I would rather die then for Romeo to be banished. I will never love another man as bold, as kind, and as beautiful as he was. We got married. I can't get married to Paris because I am already married to my husband Romeo. Eventually I have to tell my parents, I can't keep are marriage a secret forever. How will my life go on?

     Maby some day Romeo will come back or we could meet in the middle some how. Also I just remembered that all of this is happening because of our families endless feud.If it weren't for that my life would be fine. As of right now, my life is coming to an end.

Blog Post #3:

     In act two, Romeo and his friends treat Nurse very badly. They mess with her and sort of harass her. I know that there are many reasons on why they did that. One main reason on why they did that is because they know Nurse is from the Capulet family. Because they are rivals of the Capulet's they don't like Nurse. Also I think they bullied Nurse because they know that she is close with Juliet so they were sort of teasing Romeo through that way. Romeo and his friends don't treat any other women in Verona like that. 


     I chose this picture because I think that Romeo and his friends are bullying Nurse. They would not treat any other woman like that. They treated Nurse very badly and hopefully they will never do that again.

Blog post #2: Romeo and Juliet and Love

Question # 3: Romeo and Juliet both had many feelings when they found out each other's identities. I think they both were extremely surprised to find out that they were from rival families. I believe that Romeo was more surprised about this because he thought he was in love with Rosaline, but then he met Juliet. After he thought he was in love with Juliet, he figured out she was a Capulet. That is why I think Romeo was more surprised by this. I also Think Juliet was very surprised too. She also thought she liked someone which was Paris. But then she found Romeo. She thought she loved Romeo but then second-guessed it because she found out that Romeo was a Montague. Juliet is actually taking this better than Romeo because Romeo is still a little heart-broken about Rosaline. If this were to happen to me, I would not give up. Even though we would be in rival families I would find a way.


Question # 2: There are many concepts of love presented by the female characters in Romeo and Juliet. Juliet and Romeo have a good romantic love together, but also a forbidden love. For example, at the Capulet's party there was love at first sight with Juliet and Romeo. But at the same time there families are rivals. Also, there was a lack of love with Rosaline and Romeo. Even though Romeo thought that he loved Rosaline she promised that she would never love anyone so that is why there is a lack of love with them. Love and lack of love differ in many ways. Love is when you truly like someone all the time. Lack of love is sort of opposite. Lack of love is where there is no love. There are a lot of examples of love and lack of love in the book Romeo and Juliet.

Propagate: to cause something to multiply by any process of natural reproduction from the parent stock.

Post #1: Fate in Romeo and Juliet

I do not believe in fate for many reasons. I think that people have total control over their own destiny. For example, in Romeo and Juliet they don't even know each other at the start and even Romeo likes someone else. But, after Romeo makes decisions on his own, he realizes that he likes Juliet. He ended up falling in love with Juliet because he made his own choices and not fate. He was basically under his own free will so that means he made his own decisions. That is one reason why I do not believe in fate.

Another reason I don't believe in fate is because it is possible for people to make their own choices in life. For example, I can make my own choices under my own freewill.  If I chose not to write this blog, I would be making my own decision, which is not fate. (That would not be a good choice, though). So that means that making your own choices is possible, and I do not think fate exists. Because Romeo and Juliet make their own choices, it is not fate, and they are under their own freewill. That is why I do not believe in fate.
